ABOUT US

Kamel McCray

Kamel McCray felt the pull to be a musician at an early age, being inspired by the rhythmic syncopation and counterpoint found in the interplay between the gospel musicians he watched at his grandfather's church. Eventually he was taken under the wing of one Victor Ross, and thus began his informal percussion training, quickly pairing that with formal training at The School for Creative & Performing Arts in Cincinnati, OH.

DJ Moore

Born Donald Moore Jr. on October 19, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Don Moore fell in love with music at an early age and began playing the piano and organ at 5 years old. His first performance was at the age of 7, where he played the organ in concert at the New Friendship Baptist Church. Although he names Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Bootsy Collins, James Brown, Prince and Ludacris as his predominant musical influences, Don's earliest inspiration was his cousin Akil Kontar. It was Kontar who first introduced Don Moore to the imaginative and ever-changing world of hip-hop music production. Traveling to and from Kontars studio in Dayton, Don soon taught himself how to write bars, create beats and produce his own music.
